Realist Magic Liveblog 3

65 500 words now. The thing about this stage of revision is, you want to do some smoothing out and patting down like a steamroller. And as you go, you find new ways to say things and new ways to spruce things up. So you take the attitude that you're revising it, not finishing it.

I totally agree with Slavoj Žižek on this. You draft the book, then suddenly you find yourself editing it. Don't for heaven's sake write it, under any circumstances.
